This policy applies to every school using the app. Each school also has a version showing its own name, address and contact details.
These terms apply when you use Edumitra Companion, provided to your child’s school (“the School”) by Benevolent Software Technologies Private Limited (“Edumitra”). By logging in you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app and contact the School office.
The app is for the parent or guardian registered in a student’s admission record. You must use only the login the School has issued to you, and only to view and act on your own children’s records.
Your login is your registered mobile number and a password. You are responsible for keeping the password private and for what is done with it. Change it if you think someone else knows it, and tell the School office at once if you suspect unauthorised use. After five wrong passwords the account is locked for 15 minutes.
The app displays information from the School’s records — attendance, marks, fees, remarks and messages. It is provided for your convenience. The School’s official records are the final word: if the app and the School’s records differ, the School’s records apply, and corrections are made by the School.
The School may decide when marks and results are released and may withhold them while fee dues are above the limit it has set. That is the School’s decision; the app only applies it.
You can pay fees online through the payment gateway the School uses, or pay by UPI or bank transfer and submit the payment reference and receipt in the app. Online payments are processed by the gateway under its own terms. Payments submitted by reference are credited only after the School has checked them against its bank records.

We may suspend a login that is used in breach of these terms.
We aim to keep the app available but cannot promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. It may be unavailable for maintenance or because of things outside our control, such as network or gateway failures.
To the extent the law allows, neither the School nor Edumitra is liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the app, delays in showing information, or interruptions in service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
The app, its design and software belong to Benevolent Software Technologies Private Limited. The student records shown belong to the School. You receive a personal, non-transferable right to use the app for the purpose described above.
You may stop using the app at any time. The School may disable a login when a student leaves, when these terms are broken, or on request.
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts having jurisdiction over the School’s location.
These terms may be updated from time to time. The current version, with its “last updated” date, is always on this page. Continued use after a change means you accept it.
